- Organised by the China-Britain Business Council (CBBC), the ‘China Tomorrow’ initiative helps UK & Chinese organisations to work together on a wide range of innovation & technology projects - and to commercialise the outputs. The initiative was formally announced at the UK-China Business Summit with China’s Premier, Wen Jiabao, in London on 2nd February 2009.
- China Tomorrow promotes opportunities for technology transfer and joint technology development between UK and Chinese enterprises and research organisations at a national and regional level by:
- Raising interest.
- Increasing awareness on how to collaborate successfully on technology development / technology transfer and innovation – for example, by showcasing existing collaborations.
- Increasing the capabilities of UK companies to work jointly with Chinese partners.
- The aim of the initiative is to develop & grow profitable, sustainable business for the economic benefit of both countries – something that is of increasing importance in the current economic climate.
- As the UK & China look for their industries to move up the value chain, China Tomorrow helps provide the opportunity for increased engagement and cooperation at an important time for both countries.
